What's the difference between a Life Coach and a Mental Health Professional?

A life coach helps with motivation, goal setting, and accountability. A licensed mental health therapist like Melissa is clinically trained to address emotions, trauma, and mental health conditions using evidence-based care. With Melissa, you get the best of both worlds… support for goals and professional treatment when deeper healing is needed.

I currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna Insurance. I do provide Superbills for anyone needing reimbursement from their Insurance company. I also offer a need-based sliding scale for anyone requiring financial consideration.

Each of these services are separate and distinctly different and do not require choosing if they resonate with you. It would be case dependent on your particular level of need and situation which choices are right for you. I am happy to offer a free consult to anyone seeking guidance around the variety of services offered and what could be the best fit.
